Thoughts of final project

With us already having the movie project done, which you all will get to FINALLY see soon! I am more than content and excited to show it as I truly think it is a great project. I am very proud of all of my group members who put in so many hours, endless days of working with each other and overall just being there for all of us whenever any of us needed help. We certainly have come a loooongggg way but I think that’s the beauty of it all. It goes to show how at the start we were just people who had a love for film and didn’t have any idea of the actual process that goes behind making them. But throughout this year, we learned about endless aspects of film. Though we don’t have the same understanding and capability as a professional big shot director, I think that we’ve grown so much. If we had to make this movie in the beginning of the year, I don’t think it’d be even 1/10th as good as what we have right now. We simply didn’t have the same erudition an skills that we pertain right now. We wouldn’t have had a clue on the editing including the transitions between scenes. Camera shots and angles which are so so so important in conveying what the shot wants to portray to the viewer. Sound which is significant in adding meaning and making the scene look and feel immersive.

At the end, I think we were able to incorporate many of these factors into our movie project. I find that we all came together to put in every small detail we can to show our knowledge of media to the cambridge higher ups whoever they are and anyone else who’d like to watch our small movie opener. Let’s face it. We weren’t exactly the most thought out, planned, and perfect group. We literally changed our entire plot more than half way through the year. We also had gotten done one day of shooting the old plot before deciding that it was not cut out. When this happened, I won’t lie, I did have doubts and concerns. Mostly just about if we will have enough time to finish the new plot, if it will work out at the end, and just thoughts if we did the right thing changing our entire plot so late into the year. But at the end I think it was the best thing we could have done for ourselves as with this new plot we also got better equipment than my iPhone camera, better sound with the foley mics, overall a better mis en scene, and just a better, cohesive story for the viewer to follow. The last few days of finalizing the project has been so stressful because we didn’t know when we’d be able to edit it, but Jason and Jaden pulled through and were able to get it all done and the project looks great! I promise you’ll see it soon and will be just as amazed!!!
