Blog Makeover
I think it was about time that we did a little makeover to how my blog looked like. I haven’t touched the look and appearance of my blog since the beginning of the year because it was just a aesthetic jellyfish picture and calm neutral tones that I thought reflected my personality and told the readers much about me and my character. Blog posts reflect what you think and feel at the current moment. Or your opinions and comments about something that occurred to you. Moreover, the way your blog looks like to you and to others, makes all the difference. It will definitely let someone know what your blog is about and what is going on in your life. In my case, the current center of attention of my time in this class was going towards this final project. Naturally, the readers and anyone else reading this blog should also know the work behind our final project and what it will entail of. Therefore, the soon coming of the final project being revealed to you all, I thought we might as turn up the notch to the horror scale and go fully on theme.
As you can see from the pictures listed below in the before group, my blog site before seemed bubbly and nice with the way.there where colorful sea aquatic creatures at the top. Which reflects my enamor and love for nature and its beauty. Furthermore, the rest of the color palette for the blog posts where a blue-grey neutral color which is one my favorite colors due to how calming and tranquil it is. But our genre of horror in this movie opener, DOESN’T mirror this happy, optimistic, and serene ambiance at all. So as you can see in the after photos my new blog looks drastically different but the changes are efficient in providing a new lens and view to my blog. As you can see the picture of the Jellyfish is now a Clown atop a playground. On the website while reading any of my posts this clown will be lurking on to still be looking at you which is exactly the scary emotions I want to evoke with this clown. Furthermore, the color palette has changed from the light blue-grey shades to the black and shadowy dark colors which symbolize evil and sinister acts such as the Kidnapping of Hailey Davis in our film opening. Overall changing up the look of my blog has definitely make the scary theme more prevalent and emphasized to the readers.
