Updated Storyboard
Our updated storyboard, has entirely different scenes and shots as previously explained, we changed up our entire plot. It begins with Hailey Davis at her house playing with her dolls. We see her close her door and then put on her shoes to go outside. We cut to her father who opened the door and left and then Hailey walked outside. Then we cut to them opening up the car doors. A close up of the car radio is shown on the screen and you can hear the radio discuss the prospects of more and more kidnappings in the town. We see a camera shot from the backseat perspective showing Hailey and her Dad riding. This is all while the radio is still playing in the background. The car stops and Hailey gets out of the car, before she can close the door, her father tells her to be safe. Hailey tells him that she will and then proceeds to close the door. Furthermore, she walks happily towards the playground. After she gets there she opens up the gate. Her hand opening the latch will be a close up. She walks underneath the playground and then sits down to set up her toys/dolls. There’s a shot where the camera is inside the backpack and Hailey opens up the zipper so she is essentially looking down at the camera and she is taking out dolls in the backpack so it is uncovering the camera to Hailey. She continues playing with the dolls and walks over to the swings and as she gets on the swings a man appears in the background. We see Hailey playing and a shadow appears next to her. We see a POV shot of Hailey looking around frantically when she gets grabbed by the man. Finally it cuts to the title sequence.
Doing this storyboard was extremely beneficial as it let us put every shot to lay out the basic framework of the movie opener. Shots 1-6 was done by Jaden of most of the home scenes where Hailey was getting ready. I did shots 7-12 which contained of Hailey and her father getting into the car where the radio plays and arriving at the playground where he can warn Hailey to stay safe. Maylynn did shots 13-18 which was Hailey entering the playground and play with her dolls and toys. Jason did shots 19-24 which was the ending of the movie opener. His shots had the scene where Hailey walked over to the swings when a mysterious presence started lurking her and eventually approached her then kidnapped her. The final shot is of the title sequence.
