Editing
For our editing of the movie opener it will mainly be Jaden and Maylynn. Jaden has the software that we need to edit our movie opener. He has adobe premiere pro which he receives for free as he has a class that gives him access to it. Adobe is a great resource to edit our video on as it provides a stable foundation for people who already have a background in editing to further delve and put into practice of the various aspects of video editing as well as developing their stories through the visuals of a film. Though it is more complex than most other platforms such as iMovie, capcut, etc. I am confident in our editors as they are talented to handle more intricate means of editing as they have previous experience and Adobe will provide a much more detailed, and extensive control over the editing of the movie that one would not otherwise attain in a basic editing program.
For our video effects and transitions it will consist of basic cuts from one scene of the play ground to another. As well as the cuts from the main character Hailey in the house then to her in the playground. There will be series jumpcuts possibly of the main character playing in several different places in the playground to enforce her innocence and naivety. Problems that were raised was to gauge an understanding of what clips should be kept in our movie opener that would add meaning to the movie and actually develop the plot. Rather than stationary clips that wouldn’t add to the storytelling and not look visually appealing. Thus, to solve this issue there had to be omissions made to the film opening to get rid of long shots that can be trimmed shorter to express the main point that scene is trying to get across.
