Final Project Idea

 

Upon discussing with my group members, we decided to change up our initial idea of doing a funeral. We came to the conclusion that it would be too difficult to incorporate that idea into our creative filmmaking. Plus, implementing it would require elements that would make this too difficult. Due to, the complications of getting to or recording a gravestone location. So we ended up going down a rabbit hole of several other ideas. But, we still wanted to be original/innovative and stay in the genre of mystery. So keeping these factors in mind, we decided to go through with a plot of a missing person, kidnapper and putting in a plot twist into our story. This still stays in the original genre of mystery and it would be much easier to accomplish and portray than a funeral scene. 

Furthermore, our plot will now display a character going missing for a certain extended period. We get to see the plot play out and how him missing affected another character. The mis en scene would showcase an interesting and entertaining cinematography. For example, we discussed the usage of printing out and making our own missing person posters. Which could add to the overall visual impact and ambiance on the viewer. Moreover, we decided to have a plot twist that the character that went missing is still alive and got kidnapped. For the element of a kidnapper, we decided to do something eery and creepy, thus wanting the kidnapper to have a sort of mask on. Then, we wanted to fine a forest/wood location where we reveal where the two, kidnapper and victim, have been and a grotesque shot of a murder. We believed that this is still true to the authentic genre and ideas we had in mind originally, but altered to better suit our circumstances that we had to combat to fit our needs for filming the opening to make the best movie opening we can create. I think we will still have to tweak this idea to make it perfectly accommodating to what we want our final product to look like, but i think we finally have a definitive idea of what we want to do that me and my partners, Maylynn, Jason, and Jaden want to do.
