Camera shots and Angles post

Film angles

 1. Close Up Shot

This was the first shot I recorded and wanted to do something that wasn't too complicated and didn’t want to record something that required me inside the frame, so I decided to get a close up on a common house plant instead. This was a very simple shot to utilize and I wanted to create a calm environment with the plant.

2. Two Shot

This was a two-shot I made featuring me and my friend. I wanted to evoke a friendly emotion through this as we come onto the screen and hug and also humorous with the way we both walk into the frame. This was filmed several times because we both kept walking too slowly and were a bit awkward for the first few takes. However, I ended up picking this one.

3. Point of View Shot

This was a simple video of me when I was walking to school. I wanted to appear as natural as possible but I realized that i had to exaggerate the way I walked to emphasize that this was my point of view for example, it took longer strides and moved my arms to mirror my walk so that it can be understood that this was my point of view. At the end I showed the view in the morning with the sun reflecting off rays in my view and surroundings. Overall, I tried to make this a serene imagery.

4. Follow Shot

This was another easy film to shoot because it only requires me going down the stairs and someone following me. I thought the effect of a camera following one down a staircase would be a fun idea because it requires movement that’s more complicated than just moving on a flat plane. So I strived to make a fluid shot of me going downwards. I did have to retake this video a couple of times because I would walk down too fast thus, at the end I slowed down my pace and ended with this take.

5. High Angle Shot
This was created with someone standing on top of the table to create the effect of a camera from above the subjects, and then recording me and my friends waving hi. I recorded this in multiple takes because the sun was in my eyes, I we ended up with this. I wanted to portray a sense of joyfulness and cheer through this shot.
