Introduction

 Hi! My name is Afifa and I'm a sophomore at Everglades High School. I decided to partake in this course because of my enthusiasm and interest in movies, shows, books, music, etc. I always loved watching all the new/popular movies and shows at home, so I thought of this course as a way to incorporate my passion for film into academics. After looking into the course's syllabus I realized that it aligned with my ambitions in numerous aspects as digital media studies will be a great opportunity for me to pursue my curiosities, learn about the functions/workings of media, and gain a better understanding of research skills.

 I believe that after this course I will leave with a better sagacity and perspicacity of media and will watch my movies and shows with a much more informed perspective including how directors are creating their movies through sound, visuals, and etc. I hope that this course will bestow me with erudition, enable me to achieve my goals, and assist me in acquiring another credit to go to my Aice diploma!
