First Day Of Shooting
We had to do our first day of filming in a rush and had to do our filming on my iPhone as we were also not able to get the camera equipment from Becon Tv. Nevertheless, we were able to get a scene done despite the setbacks. To recap our day, all of us went over to Maylynn’s house to film. Initially we planned on doing this beginning sequence and the argument scene, but there where way too many takes from Jason and Jaden breaking character as well as me and Maylynn laughing in the back. Thus, we decided for today to be a day to get some minor filming in and getting a better scope of what we will remedy in our production and how to improve our upcoming filming dates. We were able to making a missing person poster of Jason and show his brother putting up the poster as well as him walking by in the background then crumbling up the missing person poster. These shots were viable as they were outside and in more daylight. But for the argument shots, the quality of the video was not great, the audio had an echo to it, and I think Jason and Jaden needed more time to learn their lines. So we decided to just wait till tomorrow where Jason and Jaden will pick up the professional camera and mics so that we can film the rest of our footage in a ordered manner.
As for the rest of the schedule, tomorrow, Friday February 23rd, we will all meet up again at Maylynns house, but this time with my close friend Melissa who will be acting in our movie opener. She will portray the role of the friend on call with Jaden. Also, we will need to shoot the scene of the argument between Jason and Jaden and Jason packing up his belongings to leave. We will require one more day of filming for the clown costume to come and we have to go to a woodsy location to film the eerie camcorder ending scene. This depends on when the clown costume comes and when all of us are available but it will be sometime in the upcoming week. With these two days left of filming, I think though we started today a bit unorganized and unprepared we were able to get at least something done and have a much better understanding of how to finish up the rest of our movie opener with the changes we made while filming as we pitch in ideas on what looks good, what needs to be added, or aspects that need to be voided. All in all, I think today was still successful despite its lack of organization.
